making memories - collage - intermediate

So you have some cute pictures you want to put together and make a collage?

But you don’t know where to start?

Here are some simple ideas to get you going.

First, open a new 6X4 blank graphic space. This way you can print your collage off in a perfect 6×4 print.

Keep your dpi at 300

On average I pick 3 pictures that I want to use.

resize them to 1.5 width wise.

copy them onto the blank graphic (ctrl c to copy and usually ctrl l to paste)

center them into position

merge your 3 photo layers together.

I usually like to add a drop shadow to give the photos a little definition (blur 18, and offset both at 6)

add text & font you like on the white space. I usually add the date somewhere on the photo so that I remember when I look back at the collages when it was taken.

add additional graphics with the picture tubes if you like! sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t. Depends what you want, but don’t be scared to try them. They’re fun to play with, and sometimes add the right touch!

I hope this was helpful! Let me know what you think? Is there anything I can help you with?
