1. What does true worship look like to you?
I’ve been to several different kinds of worship services from Charismatic to very conservative. I grew up in a very conservative church but I have learned that I love the diversity. I would say that my preference lies somewhere in the middle. True worship for me is total abandon, releasing myself from the bondage of restrictions of what I can or cannot do. Sometimes my hands are raised, sometimes I am on my knees and sometimes I am quiet with my eyes raised to heaven.
2. Describe a true worship experience that you have had and what God said to you during that time?
The most recent experience I can describe is just in the last few weeks when my friend Barry, who sang on my CD, sang “Praise you in this storm” from Casting Crowns in our church service. I’m sure that you all have known that I have been going through some stuff and when Barry sang that song it was like God sat next to me and said “I know what you are going through but will you praise me even now?” The tears flowed and I was able to just praise Him in the middle of my difficulties. It was so refreshing!
3. Who is your favorite Christian song/artist and why?
I have trouble nailing it down to one song or artist. My favorite artists include Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, Darlene Zscheck. Some of my favorite songs are on my CD which you can preview by going to CD baby. There are so many amazing artists out there and so many songs that just bless my heart that I just have a hard time just naming one!
Thank you for joining in with this Month’s In Spirit & In Truth! Don’t forget to leave a comment so we can read about your experiences.
Blessings!
