“Do not be deceived; ‘Bad Company ruins Good morals.’ Come to your right mind, And sin no more. For some have no knowledge Of God. I say this to your shame.” 1 Corinthians 15:33-34
Every Sunday I have the pleasure of being in the company of my daughter and her family’s company, at church. Usually, after the service we go out for brunch, with the some of the grandchildren wanting to drive to the restaurant with me. A time that I always treasure as the conversations that we have are interesting, serious, funny and sometimes totally amusing…like that old cliché “out of the mouth of babes.”
Well, my youngest grand-daughter recently quite seriously decided that she needed to have a conversation with me and it went something like this:
“Gamma.”
“Yes, Baby.”
This child has always been a thinker, “You need a husband.”
“What?” I replied, almost peeing myself laughing and wondering what and why the little muffin was so concerned about my marital status at this tender age in her life ( My beloved husband had died over a year ago).
“You need a husband.”
“And why would I need a husband, honey?” I further queried.
“So I can play with him.”
“Oh,” I answered back. “And how do you think that Grandma can get a husband?”
“I don’t know,” she replied, “Maybe, we should ask Daddy.”
Well, you know maybe my grand-daughter is not off the mark, that is, if we want something we need to go to our Heavenly Father at all times, and know that He knows our hearts desires.
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, And all these things shall be yours as well.” Matthew 6:33
