It’s Easter Monday, and I hasten to post. I hope everyone has enjoyed their Easter? Work already has begun today, as Easter Monday isn’t a holiday here. So as we clean up our messes and get back to normal, what are you reading?

I’ve got a few books on the go these days.

Just Tell me what to Say by Betsy Brown Braun

okay I love this book! I’ll be referencing it for a while. It covers a variety of topics for us parents who just don’t know what to say. It covers burps, farts, picking your nose.. it deals with divorce, and death, sex, etc… the list goes on. It has some basic information that our mommy brains or daddy brains seem to have forgotten when we’re dealing with our children. I always take a bit of the advice with a grain of salt, but a lot of it I have either used myself, or have thought something similar to use.

It is something I’ll be reading for the next 5 years I’m sure for reference!!

Release Your Brilliance by Simon T. Bailey

This is another one that I’m going to be mulling over for a while. I’ve read it through and I want to go over it more carefully again. It is an amazing book about how to find yourself.. what you want to do with your life.

“Each of us is born brilliant. Then we spend the rest of our lives having our brilliance buried by people, circumstances, and experiences. Eventually, we forget that we ever had genius and special talents, and our brilliance is locked away in a vault deep within. So we settle for who we are, instead of striving for who we were meant to be.”

I think this book is a great tool for those of us who are interesting in striving for who we were meant to be. It’s like your own personal motivator. If you’re going to pick up a book this year, this is one I’d definitely recommend for your reading pleasure – personal achievement reaching potential!
