White Wedding

Well, i just had to share this cake i did recently. It was my second wedding cake, and it was massive! An all white 4 tier cake covered in hundreds of little white flowers….

This cake is proof to me that God is faithful. Not because it got to the church intact ( but that too! ) but because just under a year ago, we moved from Alberta to Saskatchewan to start fresh. My husband had a new job, we had a new home, and i was staying home with our new baby. I didn’t know any one, and i wanted to do something to earn extra income so i could stay at home with our daughter for a while. My aunt and I had talked about me decorating cakes, but when i moved out here to the boonies, it was hard to find classes. So, i just practiced and read a lot of books . Through my practice cakes, God brought me friendship, and a new found self esteem. I mean, how else but through God, would i go from an insecure young woman making “decent” cakes, to a confident “cake architect” ( inside joke! ) in just 6 months?! God is faithful… even when a cake breaks… there is always ice cream!
