Today

Today, I was born.

I woke up and felt the dawn.

The Son’s Warmth and Love fell on my face

And I knew that I would receive His Grace.

 

Today, I came to know

Jesus is my Lord and my King

And that I could count on Him

For everything.

 

Today, I wanted to do His Will

To please and gladden His Heart

For it made my heart glad

As I understood His Salvation.

 

Today, I gave my life to Christ

For it was good and right.

Basking in Love and Kindness

Feeling Holiness surround me.

 

Bright Light, Guiding Star

Jesus, I need to know and serve You

For but a taste of Your Undying Love

Endowing and encouraging me to seek You.

Omni-potent and Omni-present

Commander of the universe,

Savior of our race

Forever be at my side,

Guide me in Thy Holy Ways

Keep me safe forever.
